Intriguing, the things that we value, lost for so long.

I have a lovely pea-style (I guess that's how the original British style is described?) cashmere wool 3/4 length winter coat in a beautiful bright scarlet red. Wore the coat for several winters and because of its style is classic. Because of its colour it, tended to make me feel warm and cheery on dreary winter days.

Have lost one of its buttons. It must have fallen off....which means I probably have to replace ALL the buttons if I want to wear this coat since 1 button is hard to match/find in store. That will probably cost me over $10.00 just for buttons... So I've procrastinated for a long time now. Right now, not a screamin' need but the coat is just too nice and classic to discard.

Even a lost button can make a difference.
