    Dominator sizing question

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Hi Ladies! This has been discussed before, but I'm debating making the plunge so I was hoping for some feed back on my sizing in a Sidi Dominator. I'm a 7.5 street shoe, very average feet. I've had some numbness issues with other shoes (an rickety pair of P.I. that are quite old). 40.5 in the dominator? 41?? Worse case I have to return them and try again (I think I'll have to order from TE, so returns aren't a biggy), but we all know how much it sucks to send a new toy back! I'm a little concerned about going too small and getting pinched spots....what sayeth TE?

I'm a 7.5 in street shoes, too, but usually wear an 8 in athletic shoes (sneakers).

I have doms in 40.5 and 41. The latter are a smidge roomy but are good for wearing with thicker wool socks if it's chilly outside.

Even with wider, 'pre-bunion' 46 year old feet, the 40.5 fit and feel great.

My rule of thumb is one size bigger in Sidis than I wear in other brands. I'm an 8 in street shoes, a 40 in Pearl Izumi, Shimano, and Nike cycling shoes, and an 8.5 in running shoes. I wear a 41 in Sidis, and that's been consistent over several models of various ages.

    Very late reply

Hmm, interesting! I wear a 7.5 street shoe, 8 for running shoes, and size 38 in European sizing. My Sidi Dominators are a size 39, which I've found comfortable even with thick wool socks. Different foot geometries, I guess.

I measure a 7.5 in street shoes, although sometimes 8s fit better. I wear a size 39 Sidi -- they fit perfectly. I guess I'm in the minority in not feeling like I have to size up with Sidis.
