We had our first snow that stuck on Thursday. It snowed, melted, snowed and got cold so the roads were ice. I'm terrified of riding on ice so this winter will be interesting.

Woo Hoo! We got about a foot in the last day. The ski trails have been rolled, so I finally got out this morning. It snowed HARD. About 10 miles North of here they got 12" overnight last night, from a big lake effect band, in addition to what fell yesterday and today. Hopefully we'll just keep building our base now, and won't lose it until April.

We got about 3-4 inches. Curiously, hardly any of it stuck on the roads, etc. I guess it's because it was 68 degrees on Thursday! However, the grassy surfaces and woods look very much like Lisa's picture. Going out for a hike in a bit.

Well, I am not a big fan of snow. It means tough in/out of our farm lane, small farm chores become big farm chores, and I can't ride my bicycle! However, it's my tradition to take a trail ride on my horse first thing after a snowfall to enjoy the beauty of it, before getting to work! Pics from this mornings ride...

    Snow

Great pics everyone! We received about 3", and it looks as though more is coming this next week. Zen , your area looks a lot like the area that I live in as wellWent for a mtn bike ride yesterday on some of the trails. It was a great ride, although a bit slippery with the new snow, lots of mud underneath covered in ice. But I was scouting out some trails for winter riding... looks like I found some great ones

We've gotten about 18 inches since this time yesterday and it's still coming down, with the hardest snow yet to come.

We had to put on snowshoes to go walk the dogs. I'll try to take some pictures later.

Doesn't look like I'll be riding any time soon. I finally found my car buried under 22" of snow...
