I'm not sure how corrosive washing detergent is, but it may be that exposure to this will eventually degrade the electronics (over a period of months/years). In any case, drying the item out will give you an opportunity to retrieve any data from it.

Yeah, kind of think that it is dead. I took it apart to let it dry but it still remains silent. It is very, very possible that it was playing when I shoved it in there. Maybe "Tiny Bubbles?"
