Interesting. Don't know of the specific mackerel type in our waters here.
Can't imagine "boiled" mackerel if the fish is abit oily. Sounds like the richness of fish dish, is something I would need to share with someone else.
I'm not even certain I've had it on sushi yet. I know...I often (even as a kid) eat all sorts of things that I don't always know what it is precisely. No matter, it's fun to explore.
