You're so lucky, tribogota. I wish my master's group did more technique-type sets! But maybe I can sneak some in during my wu. I am still not 100% convinced that these longer masters workouts will make me a faster swimmer. I hope so. I guess I'll find out in the spring when I rejoin my training mates who have been swimming alone all winter.

I do love that feeling in the middle of a workout where I feel like I'm gliding: no pain, no effort, just the water slipping past me. I wish I could feel like that all the time.

Here's what we did today. I like the IMs -- they keep things interesting. And we had a new dude in our slow lane. Unlike some of the other men who seem almost huffy if a woman is faster than they are, he was very funny about his slowness and had everyone laughing between sets.
