Today was an odd mix of road food and real food:

B: Soup made with leftover turkey, some bread with it.
S: Gingerbread latte from Starbucks, a few bites of BF's pumpkin bread.
D: Double cheese burger from Steak n' Shake with onion, pickle, lettuce, ketchup, fries, and a Coke.
Misc: a small piece of ladoo, a few kettle chips and a couple sips of vanilla Coke.

    Yesterday I had:

B1- an egg and ww toast.

B2- ww English muffin and cream cheese

L- eggplant grinder from pizza place

    snack- slice of pumpkin bread

D- gnocchi with tomato basil sauce at restaurant (and semolina bread)

    Dessert- apple crisp

Again, no fresh fruit or vegetables. Seems to be a thing with me that I'm in denial about. This thread is good for pointing it out. I do love me some simple carbs, though !

Red, there certainly wasn't "no" fruit or vegetables in what you described. A bit light maybe, but not at all absent.

Raw fruits and vegetables aren't necessarily the best thing for everyone, especially as the weather gets colder. Some people do very well with raw produce, others not so much. It's possible you might find it easier to put more vegetables into your diet if you stop trying to eat them raw?

I made a big pot of chicken soup with carrots, parsnip, parsley, celery, onion, garlic and swiss chard. It cooked for several hours yesterday and then matured on a warm stove all night.

I had it for breakfast with Alton Brown's southern biscuits.

    omg.

That's interesting. I hadn't heard that raw isn't always ideal before. In fact, it's kind of been drilled into me, and I do have digestion issues with some raw foods. Still, I though I was supposed to be eating them, so I'd plan around it.

    This may change my life.

B: four inches of French bread, sliced in half lengthwise with butter and black raspberry jelly.
L: an apple and a frappucino.
S: a few slices of salami
D: Two bowls of turkey soup and some more of the bread.
Dessert: either black raspberry chip ice cream or a triangle of baklava. Haven't decided yet.

(breakfast) 2 scrambled egg whites and 1/2 cup cottage cheese
    (snack) non-fat yogurt
    (lunch) turkey/spinach/bean soup (yummy)
    (snack) more non-fat yogurt
(dinner) chicken breast, broccoli, salad, apple
    Protein shake after working out

They have me on a very strict diet so it doesn't change much outside of replacing poultry with fish.

Reviving this. I like the accountability.

B: bowl of cereal with 1% milk.
L: homemade chicken fried rice. (For the...4th? 5th? time this week. I hate cooking for only me)
S: piece of peppermint bark and a handful of chocolate bunny grahams.
    D: Chicken tacos from Qdoba.
At least I don't leave slime trails.
