Mystery solved.. DH returned to the scene and found it hiding in plain sight in the middle of the road.. but- unfortunately- completely squashed.

Well that is good news/bad news. That is great though that he found it for you. One of my biggest pet peeves is not being able to find something. That's a bummer that it was smashed.

I just ordered my son a new iPod for Christmas since his also just went through the wash. I had engraved on it: "Dry Clean Only"
