    A gripe, complaint, grievance, grumble....

I love my class this year, great kids, fairly with it, respectful and mostly responsible....

But I am in the throes of my second cold already... and I had plans this week which believe it or not did include sleeping on and off until noon... at least I don't have to write lesson plans for a sub.

I think I'd like a new head - this one is too achy.

I did have H1N1 in my room a couple of weeks ago, so of course I'm tripping out taking my temp every couple of hours. Silly I know. This is day 2 and still a normal temperature.

Hope you feel better soon, V! Now that I'm a librarian and have 300 kids in and out of my "classroom" during the week- I'm far more paranoid about germs. I wipe down my computers, tables, shelf markers, etc. religiously.
Kids are great, but they sure are germy! Rest and take it easy (but I hate that your mini vacation will be spent sick )

    Take care of yourself!

Mucinex -- I swear by it. Neti-pot rinse once a day. Lots of fluids and I take extra vitamin C and L-Lysine.

If all else fails, the Irish cure (whiskey, honey, and lemonade), then have a good night's sleep.

There is a silver lining - my baby cats (who are now 2!) leave wherever they are to come snooze with me on the bed. Kitty love is nice.

I have no brain cells - I've tried lesson planning, can't read or do cross stitch 'cause my head is too achy. I don't want to watch tv... Stupid sinus pressure. I'm looking forward to moving into the sneezing stage.

Hey, but my knee almost feels normal today!

mickchick, I swear by that Irish remedy. I had a lab mate who would bring a small flask of whiskey when I was sick and we would drink hot tea with lemon and honey and whiskey and slowly begin to think we were really smart Fortunately, we never tried to do science after out hot toddy experiences

And how much whiskey do I put into my tea? Although in my house it's Scotch instead.

As much as it takes to make you feel better?

Seriously though, I do between one-half and one ounce. Just enough to take the edge off without making me any loopier than I already am.
