Thank you ladies!! Few things bug me more than people chickening out like that. He didn't even know if they were hurt!

OakLeaf, I think you may have me mixed up with some other martial arts chicky here. Either that or you have really terrific memory - I did do a little karate but that was 22 years ago, and I can't remember mentioning it here . But maybe I did, my memory isn't too hot.

Actually, in spite of plenty of rescue training, first-aid courses and live rescue scenarios - I really suck at keeping a cool head when it's needed. I'm very analytical left to my own devices, but hand me just a little stress and I do the dumbest things. If I'm involved in a big accident, I'm the one that somebody in charge will set to moving rocks from A to B, just to keep me out of trouble.

That's why I'm so stoked at for ONCE getting that licence plate!!

Yay! I know just how hard it is to manage to get a license plate # in a situation like that. Way to go.

Good job, LPH. This makes me think I really should carry a pen. In the heat of the moment, there's much to take in. It's really hard to keep numbers straight for more than a few minutes.

So, did you write it down, or remember it?? I agree, I'd have to have a pen and paper. I think I'll start carrying them!

+1. That's why I carry a mini Sharpie in my pack. No need for paper -- just write on your arm or hand.

    Nice going!

I only thought a sharpie would be good for making hitchhiking signs.
