What are you thankful for?

Good wine, honeycrisp apples, and peanut butter

Ooh...that's a good list right there!

• Hubby who has been not-so-subtly pushing me towards road cycling for years ('cause 11 bikes in the garage are 1 too few, apparently)
• Upcoming trip to Vegas with said hubby to celebrate 13 years of marital fun
• 2 crappy marathons in '09 that made cycling look all the more appealing
• generous MIL who bought my pretty bike with a bit of her inheritance after her mom passed
• A body that may be a bit soft and asthmatic, but has carried me nearly 1700 miles on foot in '09
• 4 fuzzy feline furbabies
• 1 bonkers almost 9 year-old boy who makes us proud every day
• gorgeous November weather...I hope Winter is so mild, too!

I am extremely thankful every day for my family. My amazing DH of 29 years, our two grown children who warm my heart every day, and those two perfect grandchildren who light up even the darkest moment!

And I, too, am thankful for my recent discovery of Honeycrisp apples

I'm thankful my brother walked away unscathed from the below pictures. Fell asleep after returning from Hawaii

*sigh* It's been a tough year. I am very thankful mom finally found a job after 9 months. I am thankful for my close friends and my family, even though some of them drive me batty. I'm very thankful we got to go to Italy and meet up with my cousin, as well as visit the town my great-grandfather came from. Very rewarding to actually see where we're from. And I'm extra thankful I've stuck to my guns the last two years and worked extra hard to pay off my credit cards. Maybe it wasn't always convenient or easy or fun, but I know it will give me a better future.

I'm thankful for my health and strength; for my wonderful husband; for the amazing delicious food that comes from the sun, earth and rain, and for the family farmers and farmworkers who grow what I don't; for clean water, the birdies at my feeders, and all the wonderful plants that grow in the ground (okay, invasive species not so much).
