How about ratcheting tie-downs or bungees to secure a load?
They provided donuts and bagels and coffee, and supposedly pizza afterward but I didn't stay since I don't eat pizza. Everything was boxed up, so if they had anything to give away it wouldn't have been accessible anyway.

I didn't know there were such things as ratcheting tie-downs. I'll have to take a look at Home Depot the next time I'm there (which will be soon since Sammy has chewed through the wood on the baby gate and it's in need of repair to make it useable again.)

I have a metal one you could have. It's not the baby-gate type, though. It mounts to the doorway and swings like a garden gate. Maybe I can find a pitchur .
