    Showers Pass jacket sizing

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I know this is a long shot, but I'm wondering if anyone has the large size Showers Pass Elite 2.0, and if so, what size clothes you wear.

I have the old Elite jacket in large, but it's getting way too big for me. SP changed the sizing in the new jackets, so I can't decide if I'm a large or XL based on the size charts. It's also complicated because TE's SP size chart is different than the one on the SP web site (TE says bust size for L is 37-39, SP says it is 39-41).

I'd ask the helpful folks at TE, but they don't work on Saturday and the 20% off coupon is only good this weekend.

Thinking out loud here, I guess I could order one and then call them first thing Monday morning to see if I got the right size.

    Thanks for any help.

I don't have that jacket (yet--it is so nice!) Could you order the large (since the current L is getting too big for you, seems like the XL would be too big) and then exchange it if it isn't right? Also consider if you will wear layers underneath.

FYI the softshell jacket that I lent to you after the half-marathon is a Large. Not the same brand (Columbia) but it seemed to fit you great.

If I go by TE's size chart, the L would be too small. If I go by the size chart on the Showers Pass web site, the L would be the right size. What to do, what to do...

You know you answered you own question.
The question now is, what size will you buy for me?

No, the question is, what are you going to do with your OLD SP jacket, and will it fit me??

What's the answer, Zen, order one and then call?

7, you know the old one would be too big for you if it's too big for me. My guess is that someone here on TE will get a good deal. (I've also been thinking using the 20% off coupon on those Gore Alp-X rain shorts we've admired, since I know I'll never pay full price for them.)

Buy both and return one. b

The coupon is on the TE main page. The model looks suspiciously like Shootingstar...

This is the lovely coupon which expires at midnight tomorrow: http://www.teamestrogen.com/content/promotions_SAVE20

DB, I'd buy the Large (not the XL). Exchange it if it doesn't fit. Size exchanges wouldn't be effected by the expiration of the coupon.
