    And seconds later.... she has her bib number. It's 2497. I always try to find fun patterns or associations with my race numbers. This time I got nuthin'!

    Hey Honey!!
    I got your email, just have had a cluster of a week!
    I will be out there watching the race, so it's nice to know that you are racing.
    Will email you for sure!!
    And if there are any last minute bike needs, let me know. I'd be glad to send one of the boys out for a "house call" for ya!
    Safe travels down here!

    2x4=8 which is right between 9 and 7 and for some reason this one came to mind 3x8=24 and again 8 is right between 9 and 7 and there are 3 legs in a tri. Sorry, if this makes no sense but I've been drinking and eating comfort food.

    Have a great race!

    Thanks Jones! Actually, my boyfriend came up with the exact 2x4=8 thing when I told him. It's gotta be a lucky number then.

    Thanks for sharing your bib number. Now I can watch you online (and maybe be lucky enough to catch you cross the finish line).

    My brother-in-law is racing! Now I get to follow 2 people.

    Have a great race, Wahine!

    I was doing math with your numbers- I'm very bad at math.

    2x4=8 + 1 =9
    2x4=8 -1 =7

    think it's time for bed.....

    I was thinking more along the lines of 24/7 is how you've been preparing for this - physically and mentally - and the "9" inside has to have some significance for you.

    I try to look for patterns too. The one that came to me with yours was subtracting the outer numbers...7-2=5 and subtracting the middle 9-4=5. Kind of cool.

    Good luck, Wahine! One of the gals in our office is flying down to watch the race. She has friends racing. (And, given the weather we're having, it'll be a great escape, too!)

    Looking forward to a race report.

    Have a great race!

    I turned 24 in '97.

    I'm told in Chinese culture that should have been a good year for me . . . in hindsight it was a pretty tough year. I challenged myself, perhaps overextended myself, but I grew a lot.
