    Yesterday -

Oatmeal with PB and diced fresh apple

Plenty of Gyokuro green tea (man, I'm addicted, that is SO good even though it's super expensive)

2 oz "gel" consisting of 3 parts barley malt syrup to 1 part blackstrap molasses, with a pinch of sea salt, plus a little water

Snack of leftover butternut squash risotto (not too much... saving room for ... )

Then we went out to dinner.

Appetizer of bruschetta topped with green tapenade and marinated vegetables, over lightly wilted arugula
    Cream of wild mushroom soup
Grilled rainbow trout over sweet potatoes and gnocchi, with sage butter
    Crème caramel with fruit compote
    Rosé champagne....

Late breakfast: Bowl of cereal with 1% milk
    S: Cup of coffee.
Late lunch/early dinner: 3-egg omelet with cheddar, tomato, onion, garlic and half a chili pepper. I ate the rest of the onion and tomato on the side. Sort of a pico de gallo, without the cilantro (because I ran out). Pomegranate limeade to drink.
I think I'll have something later. There will be an apple and perhaps carrots involved--I think I ate my cholesterol allowance for the month!

    Elephant ears= shitake mushrooms?
Those quinoa biscuits sound good and interesting. We just bought some fresh quince. Got to check a recipe book on what to do with them.

    Yesterday
Same breakfast & snack as previous entry, except bread was slice of cranberry pistachio bread (sour dough based).
Supper: homemade green curry tomato, red pepper, onions, garlic and ginger root. Over brown rice.

    Today
B- oatmeal with milk, tangerine, tea with milk
Snacks- pumpkin scone, coffee with milk
2 tangerines, slice of cranberry pistachio bread, raisins, tea with milk
Fresh baked pretzel. (Real German style, not the chain bakery ones. The authentic ones are the healthiest, at least no fats.)
Supper - steamed salmon fillet with bit of soy sauce, oil, ginger root. With light noodles on side (flavoured with sauce from fish dish) and blanched spinach.

Shooting star - quinoa is a berry, that is ground like a grain, for flour. It has a texture like cous cous( but with little 'tails' ) when cooked for savory or can be flaked for cereal. It has more fat and more protein than grain.

    MMM quince !
I have PMT and am eating EVERYTHING> I hate that. Esp since all I eat is mostly fruti and veg so I am bloated up like a big balloon.
