But...I know the guilt would have gotten to me, so I stuck it out. It even started raining on us when we were in the Lemont/Woodridge area...so we pulled into a gas station to let it pass. Then of course, after stopping...it felt like it was 20 degrees colder...brrrrrrrrrrrr! Sunday, was a much nicer day and we rode out to the Aurora area. I still felt a fairly brisk wind on Sunday, but nothing like it was on Saturday. I hate wind!
I'm right on the lake, so because it's convenient I just ride the lake front path down to where it ends and back - almost 40 miles for me. I knew Saturday I would be in for trouble. But Sunday, it didn't seem like there was any wind. I actually got off my bike a few times on the way down because it seemed as if my tires were getting stuck. I guess it was just a case of the headwind demon.

Strong winds here yesterday too, I felt like I battled it both ways. Severe bike coma afterwards.

I have had several rides like that recently. It has been frightfully windy here!
