Ok, so I am just now starting my marathon training plan. So I'll be logging a LOT of miles in the dark before or after work (darn time change). Although I run in a neighbor hood...it is a bit dark. I was thinking about getting a head lamp (is that the right terminology).
    Does anyone run with one?
Any recommendations of a good one--I am thinking light weight and comfortable.

    Thanks!
(Oh and now I'll be posting regularly on the weekly run thread! woo-hoo!)

Kat, I use a petzl and I love it - it's light and comfortable and adjustable. I put it over a ball cap. Sometimes I use it riding, too. It's handy to have!
I can do five more miles.

I haven't run with a headlamp, but I have hiked with one. I like Princeton Tec because their lights are waterproof to 1 meter so it will still work if it gets dropped in a stream or puddle (or just used in a downpour). I know you're running on roads and not trails so that may be less of an issue for you, but they make a quality product in general.

I just bought a Petzl. I haven't run in it yet but it was comfortable when I tried it out around the house .... and it was on clearance at REI - so even better.

I've got the Petzl Tikka Plus. Not too heavy, just enough light.
I'd rather be swimming...biking...running...and eating cheesecake...
