Ugh - Slipping On My Saddle

I occasionally have this problem too depending on which pair of shorts I wear. I criss-cross a couple rubberbands over the bike seat. Works like a charm. Looks different but I don't feel like I'm going to slide right off the bike and into the road. This solution is easy to use and is cheap. The rubberbands don't create blisters or irritation on my 30 milers.

Oh, what a great idea! thanks for that. I used to have this problem on my hybrid. I no longer slip around - on my road bike the seat set up is one of balance.

Have you washed the knickers yet? and not used fabric softener?
I've had a few shorts and knickers that were slippery at first, but it always went away after a few rides.
I have the same Shebeest knickers and do not have a problem slipping.
If you feel like you are slipping forward off your saddle is it possible your weight is not well balanced on your saddle? Friction should not be the only thing keeping you from sliding forward on your saddle.

ooh - I really like the rubber band idea!

And I will check to see if my seat is tilted down too much.

Hopefully, the new knickers will not be as slippery after a few washings.

I encountered the exact same problem with a pair of Pearl Izumi AmFib tights. Since I had only tried them out on 1 ride, I had no trouble returning them. I just couldn't get used to the slippery feel of 'em. I ended up buying a pair of the PI Elite Thermal tights instead...much better, and no slipping.
