Looks like there's a few sites online that will print vinyl decals that you could stick on... That would be sweet.

Does anyone have an idea for how to put a mantra on some part of your bike or your person where you'll see it and be inspired by it? I want to put "You're stronger than you think" somewhere. I could wear a bracelet, but don't really want an additional tan line to fight. But I'm considering it. Actually, the rubber kind like Lance Armstrong wears might be perfect, assuming there's a place to have one made with my mantra.
But I was thinking of something like that to wrap around my top tube. I was going to print it on a piece of paper and tape it on temporarily with mailing tape to protect it. But if I could have something made to put there more permanently, that would be awesome. Or maybe someone has another idea??? Anyone?

You could make a custom headset cap that is engraved with it from Purely Custom.

yep, there are places where you can order custom silicone rubber bracelets.
but I'd go for a decal on the top tube. These, too, can be ordered online.

That website looks awesome! The things I learn about on TE never ceases to end lol. Thx.
Hey Jiffer![]()
I think the tan lines tell a story, sorta like scars. But, that's just me. First time ever I acculated lines from my road shorts this year. My shorts I wear to teach indoor spinning are all shorter than the roadies. The shorties gave me away as to where I had been, vs. the gym for other stuff. I figure it's an outward sign of where I spent what time I have towards my passion.
One simple idea I have seen before, and considered myself, is the bar tape. But, your mantra in full text wouldn't fit. Maybe a shorter version would. I can't remember the TE members name atm, but she posted a great climbing/vid story. In the vid, there was a shot of someone's bar tape with the words "I EAT HILLS" printed on the tops (w/a sharpie marker looked like). Easy to change up if you didn't want it there anymore.
You'll have to post a pic when you get it on the bike.
EDIT ADD: Found the bar tape example, link vid still active. The bar tape shot is in the first couple seconds of the vid when you click on the link. It was gnat23's DeathRide... love it! TE LINK... http://forums.teamestrogen.com/showthread.php?t=32408

When I started mountain biking I became acquainted with the term HTFU (Harden The F*** Up) which is something I probably needed to do in my cycling during races since I tend to take them a bit like a training ride!
A local chain carried the rubber band bracelets and fake tattoos with these letters so I bought a couple. I have worn the band in a few MTB races and on big hills will look down at my pink rubber HTFU bracelet and it does spur me on a bit.
Last time I rode in a triathlon I put one of the fake HTFU tattoos on the inside of my forearm right where I could see it when I got down on the aero bars and used it to help me focus. It was great and it washed off!
I suggest getting it printed on the back of all your cycling jersey's and the sides of your shorts. I don't know who does this, but I see all sorts of teams with their individual last names or names on the back of their clothes so it must not be that hard to find.
I always find myself reading the jersey riding in front of me!
