Good healing to your friend, cc!
I went shopping today! An unusual enough occurrence (i.e. not food and necessity shopping) to deserve its own post. I got:
- a mid-thigh-length softshell coat, courtesy of mil and fil's "birthday money"
- a wool neck gaiter, junior-size so it won't slide down all the time, ditto
- a pair of Icebug winter running/walking shoes, with small studs underneath. Poison green...
- a light knitted dress! I tried on 4 that looked terrible, almost gave up, then 1 that was ok and 1 sleeveless one that was really neat. Office wear.
- a couple of spare blinkies
- a couple of really large screwgate climbing carabiners, cos I want to start climbing with a cordelette on multipitches
- 3 packets of white tea flavoured with forest berries, that I've been hunting everywhere for since my workplace moved. It tastes wonderful and white tea is apparently one of the healthiest drinks ever.
And when I got home I posed for my dh wearing or carrying all of the above
I didn't have with me the incredibly expensive Goretex gaiters I got talked into buying earlier this summer but am planning to return, or the gift card I was given from work a few weeks ago, so I didn't go to the big sports store I was planning on to get:
- a down filled inflatable camping mat, Exped Down 9
- insulated shoe covers (PI Barrier ?)
So there's even more shopping in my future.
