I just rescued a 7 week old kitten, I have never had a baby before and let me tell you Oliver is CRAZY! up for 2-3 hours in the middle of the night just playing, playing.
Girl kitty
Boy kitty
Tearing up our couch
Sleeping..finally
Clawful cats are very worrisome. I've grabbed the sisal rug from outside and am trying to get them to use it..then they start chasing each other..flying leaps and claws....my husband signed a "no declaw" contract. I know there are heated views on this subject, but when I pay thousands of dollars for furniture... Our last cat did totally fine without his front claws. The two of them knocked over a lamp today. Guess I'm going to have to baby-proof the house for awhile.
Oh, and get this - boy kitty has been suckling on the girl kitty. Apparently not totally abnormal..This is only our 2nd and 3rd cat - so we've not seen this before.

Awww!!! They're so cute! And stripey! And ORANGE! Love them!![]()
your kittens are adorable. And it takes 5 minutes once a week to trim their toenails; start now while they are young, give them treats, it will get easier.
I don't even have to hold my cats when i trim their nails now.

Love the last picture. They look almost peaceful (maybe dreaming of ways to circumvent your "baby-proofing" the house!)
When Chloe & Hunter start chasing each other through the apartment they become "Calamity & Chaos."

You can protect your furniture by taping aluminum foil to the arms, or I think putting carpet tape (the kind that holds two pieces of carpet together at a seam) on the arms. It would be inconvenient for a while, but if it saves your furniture... You can also put throws over the arms, too, although that probably would not be a deterent.
Cats love those corrugated cardboard scratchers, usually. They're cheap.
Cute kitties. Makes me want one. Until I think of my furniture. lol.
