What a coincidence, it's 37°F here right now.

It turned cold all of a sudden and none of us are used to it.

Yesterday we joined about 30 pilgrims for the last mile of their 70-mile walk between two ancient earthworks. It was very spiritual - it must've been incredible for those who made the whole journey. You could see it on their faces, a mixture of awe, serenity, joy, sadness that it was ending.
I'm starting to get nervous about my half marathon tomorrow. Don't know why, it's not like I'm competing for a win or anything.

It's just so much bigger than any race I've ever run before. 15,000 runners in the combined 26.2/13.1 start, my biggest so far is a field of 800 in a 5K. We're staying overnight tonight even though it's not that far away, just one less thing to have to worry about in the morning. Wondering what to pack for breakfast. Not sure what to wear. Planning to snag some daifuku mochi (what a wonderful excuse to eat dessert for breakfast!

) but not sure those will be enough.
