buying new obrea for wife and need help

I'm buying an Orbea Diva for my wife. I'm wondering if it is actually a 2009 model or the sales rep is just trying to pull a fast one. the color is black and pistachio. Is that color available in the 2009 model.
    Thanks.

Yes. That is one of the colors that was available for 2009. The Diva for 2009 came in: the green color you speak of, white, pink, and blue.

For 2010 there is an option of pink or blue... both with white / black.

    I own the Onix.

If it fits your wife correctly, and it's good deal, go for it!

Of course you should come back and post pics of it too for us. We love new bici show and tell.

I have the pistachio Diva and love it, color and the bike. As you might guess, that's how I got the name Grasshoppa - hopping up the hills. You'll want to look for the Exteondo matching clothing in pistachio. Not sure if they still make it as I got it on sale which was still more than any jersey I ever bought, but it matches exactly.

If you don't trust the salesman why on Earth are you buying a 3k+ bike from him?

Yes, green was an 09 color.

I don't buy from establishments I don't trust either, however if they are the only LBS that sells Orbea and that is the bike your wife really wants I would discuss the fact that it is a 2009 and see what kind of discount you can get. I got an awesome discount on my 2009 Onix because it was on the floor. The 2010 bike in her size may not be available until sometime next month either.

If your wife has tried the bike and it fits her correctly, then she is a lucky lady and you are a generous man. Does the bike shop offer a professional fit so that the bike can be customized to your wife's particular proportions? If so, it would be wise to consider doing that.

Best of luck. I like the green ones (I like them all, actually).
