Like ZooZoo I was in Hillsboro, OR for the weekend and rode the 75 mile course of the Harvest Century with my husband and 3 friends (Jennifer, Kara, and Brook). A very hilly route and after our lunch stop a very windy one too! We stayed in the Holiday Inn Express just up the road off Cornell so we biked to and from giving us a total mileage of 78.74 miles. We started late, about 8:30 and finished just before 3:00. Our ride time was 5 hours and 25 minutes with an average speed of 14.5. Those hills and winds were taking its toll on us, especially the last leg of the ride. But we persevered and arrived back at the start in high spirits! We all went out and celebrated with good food and drink around 6:00ish.

I'll have to download the few pictures I took with my cell and post them. We cycled past some beautiful country. Vineyards, orchards, and fields. Trees ablaze with color. Just a wonderful ride. Rest stops were great, especially the lunch stop! Fresh squeezed apple cider, hoagies, cookies, just a ton of stuff.
