What happens when you cross a Scottie with a Yellow Lab?

He's a brindle, oversized Scottie. A real sweetie. My pastor hubby says he is the perfect Lutheran dog. He sins like a terrier and feels guilty like a lab.

Oh that is one cute little dog.
I imagine its hard to stop cuddling him.
The most effective way to do it, is to do it.

That is one cute dog! And Arthur is the perfect name. The making of him, though, must have been interesting. Can't quite get my mind around that coupling.

The weather has turned here in CT, and it's getting cold at night. I like to put off turning the heat on as long as possible, but have turned on the little space heater in my bedroom the last two nights. Well, when I got up this morning, Ruthie sent a clear message of what she thought of the situation:

His mom was a registered Scottie. His dad was a fence-jumping Lab. It was actually kind of sad. We met the owner of the mother. The puppies had to be delivered caesarean because they were way too big for her (she had 6 of them). The owner of the Lab laughed about it and told the lady she needed a higher fence. When the puppies were weaned (they were supplemented by bottle because the mom couldn't feed them all) they were taken to the shelter. They did all find homes.

Margot was spayed last week and has recovered nicely, aside from a UTI. In the words of the vet, "she doesn't realize she had surgery." She completely ignored her incision.

Thank goodness she's now off "limited activity" and can wild-it-up with her sisters. LOL.

It'll be interesting to see who emerges as the alpha. She's already been humping Fiona who is no longer patiently taking it.

By the way, Arthur is a sweetie.

Sammy got neutered on Tuesday, and it took until 10 pm that night for him to get back to his usual crazy self. Now he's humping AJ, when he didn't do it before. What the heck is that about? Aren't puppies fun?

Edit to add: And now I find he's just chewed up the transmitter for my Polar heart rate monitor (which I thought was out of his reach). Oy! He must think I'm made of money.

    bluey

I know there are some blue heeler owners round here & need to get some info from you. We're adopting a male bluey this week & would just like your insights into owning one.

    Feel free to pm me.

To answer your questions you have already-The doggie was ok with Yukon when they had a "meet" at the refuge on the weekend. (a very long process involved in the adoption process at this particular refuge) Also, we have a private doggie trainer to contact for assistance.
