Laube makes a very similar version that's cheaper, especially when you get into the larger sizes.

My female loves this thing. The male can take or leave it, and the dog just hates it. But they all get brushed with it to remove the loose undercoat that leads to "pet hair tumbleweeds".

Announcing the new kitten of the house.. She's still nameless. Her mom and dad are feral cats but she's already neutered.
