Thanks guys! I am going to be in san francisco proper, my meeting is in a hotel on the Fisherman's Wharf.
So, I take it that if I planned to wear wool pants, and brought a lightweight ibex base layer, an ibex shak, and a leather jacket, I will be OK and won't look ridiculous. When you say bring fall clothes, in san antonio those are my winter clothes!
I wish I could bring my bike, but not enough time to be worthwhile. If you had a single day to explore stuff in san francisco, what would you do? I arrive at 10am, and then have until ~7pm on my own before my meeting stuff starts on wed.
I wrote a whole novel but must have forgotton to send it. Fisherman's warf is not my favorite (too touristy) but if I had a day in SF I would ditch the luggage there and zip out the door and head west for Fort Mason.
Maybe I'd stop there for macaroons or quick to go food from the Tassajara bakery.
Then find a warf and dangle my feet out over the bay as I ate.
Then I'd keep heading west for Crissy Field, and depending on your speed and the number of times you stop to just be wowed at the view get to Fort Point. The view of the bridge from underneath the bridge is amazing.
You might decide to keep going and ditch the meeting.![]()
