Based on my experience with my Garmin and knowing where you live, if I were getting a wireless computer I'd be darn sure the sending unit is waterproof. Garmin is good about replacing their cadence/wheel sensors under warranty whenever I get rained on unexpectedly (or forget to take it off before washing my bike), but it's a PITA and it really would be an unacceptable design flaw if there were any other computers that do what theirs do.

Oh that is so kind of you but I would pay the p&p, as that would perhaps be quite a lot.

    I will PM you shortly.

Now where else could I go on the internet and have somebody be so kind and thoughtful?

    Hi crazycanuck

After much thought, I was working out what the postage would possibly be and all the trouble for you to send it over to the UK.

I had been watching 4 x Cateye Strada Wireless Computers on eBay and they all went for silly money, averaging over £30. Initially the cheapest I could find brand new was £35.99.

So, I started searching the internet and I came across an extremely good site, no postage plus a discount of 10%, which brought the item down to £24.29!!!

Now the company www.probikekit.com appear to have very good reviews, although based in the UK, they send to the US etc and very quickly too.

Again, thank you so much for offering to help me out, it was such a nice gesture.

Just wanted to give a big "thumbs up" for Pro Bike Kit! I have ordered from them numerous times, and have never had a problem (and I'm in the US). Their prices are definitely some of the lowest that I've found.

That is good to hear, I did check up on reviews for them and they were all good.

Wow, I only ordered it at midnight 5 Oct and received it this morning, 8 Oct. Also free delivery for UK.

I am so looking forward to having it on my bike, I hate not having a 'puta on my bike.

Many thanks for all the advice, all duly taken.

That's great news! A friend of mine had told me that he heard on the news, that there was a postal strike in the UK, but I guess it must be over now, right? I had been holding back from placing an order with PBK, since I didn't know what the status was of this postal strike. Now I can place my order.

Have just contacted them regarding returning the item, wow, what an excellent company to do business with. You go online to get a returns label etc. post it off and within two days I had the money back in my bank account!

Now that is what I call impressive and I believe it works the same for overseas customers.

    Well done Probike Kit.
