    Renton area riders?

Anyone out there live in the Renton area and want to go on rides? I currently have a hybrid bike but plan to get a road bike in the spring. I usually end up doing the Cedar River trail (about 26 miles from my house), the interurban trail (30 miles from Fort Dent), or The South Lake Washington + Mercer Island loops (32 miles from Coulon Park). I'm kind of slow and average about 12 MPH. But I'm interested in riding outside even into the cold weather for as long as I can stand. I'm also interested in working on longer distances, more hills, and getting faster. I also would like to try different paved routes in the area. Let me know if you're interested.

Hi Jessica, I live in Seattle, on Beacon Hill, - Renton center is 7 miles from my house. Perhaps we could get together some time. Time is so short right now is my only problem. I commute to work, that's where I get most of my miles.

That sounds good. Maybe message me when you think you have some time for a longer ride? Currently when I go out it's around 2 1/2 - 3 hours. It is time consuming!

I live in Kent and work in Renton. Most of my rides are the trails you mentioned. If you two would like a third, email me when you decide to ride. I'd love to join you.

I know this is kind of late notice. But today at noon myself, another girl, and maybe even my husband are going to do the South Lake Wa loop and the Mercer Island loop leaving from and ending at Coulon Park, if anyone else is interested in joining us. It will be a relaxing ride, maybe around 12 MPH. I will try to post these rides with more advance notice in the future!

    Riding tomorrow

If anyone is interested, me and another girl are going to be riding the Cedar River Trail starting at the Renton Community Center (the trail head right by the dog park) around 12:30-1pm tomorrow (12/26/09). It'll be my first day with my clipless pedals, which shouldn't be too bad considering it's all flat, but there may be a few slow downs, etc. We'll probably average around 12-15MPH for the 22 mile round trip.
