More updates - and chuckling at the idea of setting a goal to gain. Hey, at least I'd feel I'd accomplished a goal, I can see the incentive.

Reesha - Wow, those are great measurement improvements!! It just goes to show that the scale number is not the important figure. You've clearly made big improvements without a lot of change in your actual weight. I can "hear" the excitement in your words!!

I'm just back from my trip. 3 days in Las Vegas for a cycling convention (I tried very hard to eat healthily. I did go astray on the alcohol front one evening at an indutry party, though... ) Then we went to the Grand Canyon for 3 days. We camped, and brought along most of our food, so I didn't go too far astray there, though I did indulge in a yummy ice cream bar after an 8 mile hike with 2500+ feet of elevation gain.

I expected to be up because, despite my efforts, I spent way too much time in restaurants (especially in Vegas) and airports to really be able to control my meals properly. But this morning I got on the scale and the news was good. I'll report in "officially" on Friday as usual.

It's REALLY good to be home. I like travelling, but I don't like stressing over my meals. It's so comforting to make myself a simple bowl of 7 grain cereal and half a grapefruit for breakfast. Is it weird to think that way??

I am posting my weight today. Not that is good, but it is better than the last couple of days AND tonight we have a going away party. I suspect I'll make some not so good food choices and have a few adult beverages. (slap my hand now).

    123.6

About the same? At least I got out of those 125-6's! UGH!

Thanks for keeping the chart up to date!

Boo. 148.8. Boo, boo, boo. Well, I haven't been taking my body measurements but I can tell that I've definitely slimmed some in a few areas. My husband says my legs are toning up quite a bit. So maybe I'm gaining muscle at the same rate I'm losing fat?????

Oh well... I'm making drastic improvements on the bike (finally able to conquer itty bitty hills without slowing down and going granny). And I can tell my endurance is getting better too.

I got through the mini-plateau 129.0 this morning. That's 8 1/2 since July, and 21 since January. Starting cycling got me off the long plateau in May and June.

Lots of dinners out this week (the problem with living so close to parents and inlaws--they want to do "dinner" all the time). Period this week. And cold.

Good job! Sometimes in the short-term we think we aren't seeing alot of progress, but when we look longer term we realize how far we've come!

126.5 for me today. I've only seen this number on the scale one other time in the past 5 months (during which I've basically bounced between 127 & 130), so this is makes me happy. I'm going to Cabo in 3 weeks, and just got a new bikini - my first since I was 9 years old!

156lbs today... many things went wrong in the past 2 weeks, so I actually consider the number success even though it is not the right direction

Susan, wow-a bikini, now that is inspiring. Have you gotten rid of all your big clothes? I seem to be having trouble getting rid of things that are now too big for me and know I should. The items that were my favorites or the few items that were expensive I really am having a hard time getting rid off. What about new clothes? I started loosing weight wearing a size 16/18w and now I am a 14 and they are getting loose. I don't want to get a entire wardrobe in this size but I need something to wear.

169.9. Not much movement, but I'm ok! Getting back into running and some boot-camp type workouts. Feels good!
