I've purchased lots of saddles on ebay, and sold them too. No problems. Of course, you need to know about the saddle you are buying, because if it doesn't work, you are generally stuck with it. Or you can turn around and sell it on ebay. That's usually how I work it, (or sell it here).

Yes, and would again, for reasons above. I'd try craigslist first if that's an option so you can see it in person....

Observe all the normal eBay precautions too:

    Check the seller's feedback
Check shipping charge before you bid
Read the whole description before you bid
Be dubious if they only have stock photos
Make sure the seller will ship to your location

    And then SNIPE that puppy!

    Bid once.
    Bid your max.
Bid as late in the auction as you can stand to.

Once a biddie, always a biddie.

depends on the price- may require much stalking of choice items!

If you don't like it- you could always turn around & sell it on eBay!

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

gixen.com lets you snipe in the last 15 seconds. don't use it to outbid me for something.

As for only having stock photos, I pretty typically only use stock photos when I'm selling stuff - just 'cause it's faster than photographing everything. if it's something that I've used, I take photos of the actual item.

Yes indeed. Not only have I bought a Selle San Marco Lady Gel Flow saddle I love on ebay, my entire mountain bike is from ebay! And I love it! I have also sold two bikes on ebay. Like others said, check seller feedback, etc. etc.

    Good luck!

If you use a sniping service, you can't get any rebates on Mrrebates.com. They give 3% back for ebay. I think in the past year, I have received around $75 using mrrebates for various merchants.
