Wow, things are going great for me-- swimming during the week and riding long 50 mile + rides is really having an impact.

My pants are all looser and more comfortable AND

... I never thought I'd be happy to say this:

But I fit a smaller bra that I had from a summer of triathlons!

    Hooray!

Weight this am: 170.2. NO GAIN OVER VACATION! Amazing. What do you know.

Now, to get going and move below that 170 mark! My goal for this week is 167 by next friday. Good luck all!

Oy....just got my IUD out yesterday afternoon. This morning, the scale is up 4 lbs and I'm bloated already! I think that my first TTOM in 4 years is heading at me like a freight train so I don't expect that tomorrow's weigh in will be even remotely accurate.

I'm blown for tomorrow's weigh-in. DH is giving me an unexpected night off. Which means I'm staying in the big city where I work. I will do some shopping and then gorge myself with Indian food--NAANNNNNN!!!!!!!

We don't have Indian cuisine in the town where I live and I don't often make it at home because DD doesn't like it. This is a very special treat.

Starting Weight Watchers at work on Tuesday (luckily.) I lost 34 pounds about 9 years ago, so I know it works, as long as you stick with it!

Still 134. No movement, yet again. I guess this is a good thing because my cycling mileage is down lately. And last weekend I made an apple pie and had two pieces during the week. It was yummy, but I certainly didn't need the extra calories.

Will weigh in again in two weeks.

    170.8

Considering that I was up over 174 earlier this week, I'm ok with this for now. Next week it will be less!

More updates - and chuckling at the idea of setting a goal to gain. Hey, at least I'd feel I'd accomplished a goal, I can see the incentive.

Reesha - Wow, those are great measurement improvements!! It just goes to show that the scale number is not the important figure. You've clearly made big improvements without a lot of change in your actual weight. I can "hear" the excitement in your words!!

I'm just back from my trip. 3 days in Las Vegas for a cycling convention (I tried very hard to eat healthily. I did go astray on the alcohol front one evening at an indutry party, though... ) Then we went to the Grand Canyon for 3 days. We camped, and brought along most of our food, so I didn't go too far astray there, though I did indulge in a yummy ice cream bar after an 8 mile hike with 2500+ feet of elevation gain.

I expected to be up because, despite my efforts, I spent way too much time in restaurants (especially in Vegas) and airports to really be able to control my meals properly. But this morning I got on the scale and the news was good. I'll report in "officially" on Friday as usual.

It's REALLY good to be home. I like travelling, but I don't like stressing over my meals. It's so comforting to make myself a simple bowl of 7 grain cereal and half a grapefruit for breakfast. Is it weird to think that way??
