I am just back from vacation and am up to 164. This summer has not been good for my dieting. My goal is 155 in 8 weeks!

Hi, I'm new here. Lurked for a little while. I'll post an official introduction later. I'm just excited to join this 8 week challenge. I need to commit to something or I'll never really work at it. I'm at 136 and my goal is 127 in 8 weeks. I've been riding for a few months and gained 2 lbs, ugh! I also am on week 5 of the couch to 5k program. Riding muscles are not very helpful for running. I can ride for 30 miles fairly easily now, but I can't run a mile yet. I'm close! I know I can do this, I just need to eat less. That's the really hard part for me.

    Thanks for adding me,
    Jen

and I am pufffffy. I think at least five of that is water weight. I stopped taking the blood pressure meds about a week ago, and they have diuretic properties. I think my body will need to readjust.

Yesterday morning I looked like I'd been stung by bees all over my face, I was so puffy.

    Yikes.

    129.

On Monday morning, after my loooooong 187 mile ride in the heat on Saturday, the scale read 135. I *knew* it was water-retention (I was 129 on Satuday morning before the ride started), but nonetheless I mentally hate to see the scale say such a thing! But, as expected, I'm back to normal now that several days have gone by. Funny how we let things like that mess with our heads.

I *did* see your posts on the other thread. You're killing me!! Cinnamon chip scones are my FAVORITE thing to eat from Panera. Soooo yummy, bested only by the cinnamon chip scones they make at Great Harvest. I have to stay away from that place, because once I'm inside the door, this invisible force guides me to the counter and places an order for a scone against my will.
