Look at that smile on her face, sure she isn't letting it go to her head! Congradulations on a great walk. Hope Chloe got some good biscuits after the walk!

She did better than biscuits, she had chicken waiting for her after the walk
(and a hyper little bloodhound puppy who wanted to be her BFF because of the chicken .)

Maeve had her "easy button" and wart removed from her face on Friday. Vet isn't sure what the "button" is---I thought it was a sebaceous cyst, as she has several on her torso. This was hard and went the whole way down to her skull. Removed on an outpatient basis with a local---Maeve was a good girl through the entire procedure.

Vet thinks it's benign but she's never seen anything like it. Hopefully, it's just a calcification. We should have the lab results back later this week.

In the meantime, Maeve has a Frankenstein mark on her forehead---staples and stitches! Pictures are here: http://stormyptsisters.blogspot.com/. Looks like she had a lobotomy or came out on the wrong end of a bar fight w/a hooker!!

Paisley, our Boston Terrier, came with us to "Camp Folly" (actually, my mom's place on the New River in NC) this weekend and had a great time. She's still sleeping it off here at home many hours later! I updated my blog with some photos of her big weekend:

    Happy Birthday!

I don't know the exact day she was born, but I remember it was mid-September. So I'm calling the 15th Ruthie's birthday. I was trying to think of something special to give her other than her normal Greenies treats. One of my friends mentioned her cat likes cheese, and I remembered that's one of Ruthie's favorites, too. So I went to the organic grocer and picked up some local-made cheese. I think she enjoyed it.

    Dog Safe Frozen Treats

    kind of like Frosty Paws.

‎1 large tub of plain yogurt.
    1 ripe banana, chopped up.
    2 tablespoons of peanut butter.
    1 tablespoon of honey.

Put all of the ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth. If your dog is like mine and likes almost anything, you can throw some other kinds of fruit in it as well, such as blueberries or strawberries.

Pour the mixture into muffin trays (I line mine with those paper muffin liners so they're easier to remove. Just don't forget to remove the paper before giving to your pup). For small dogs/smaller portions, pour the mixture into an ice cube tray instead. Pop the tray(s) into the freezer overnight. Voila! Doggy ice cream treats.

Why does that have to be just for dogs? That looks like something I'd enjoy as well!

    CUTENESS ALERT!

He's not mine, although I may be tempted to steal him. His name is Gizmo, and he weighs one whole pound.
