As many of you know, we lost two of our three long-time kitties this year, and have since adopted one rescue kitty, so we now have two 'babies' again.
I'm so sorry for your recent losses of your special kitties.
All of you who help abandoned or homeless kitties are heros.

So sorry bambu101. We had a sweet cat when I was a child, also named Kitty. She died of Feline Leukemia. So very sad...

You gave your Kitty a wonderful home, and helped her again in the end instead of allowing her to suffer. Hugs to you at this tough time...

So sorry to hear about Kitty . She had four years of love and attention she might not have had otherwise if you and your SO hadn't welcomed her into your lives. She'll have lots of loved and missed TE furbabies to welcome her over the Rainbow Bridge.

A couple of images from happier days- right now it is hard to move past the last few days, but I would like to remember her the way she was in the pictures:

Bambu, that's the way she is now. She's the grey goddess, gracing heaven with those gorgeous green eyes. I hope you find comfort in your good memories of this sweet feline.

Here's my little "chunkybutt" Chloe after we finished the AIDS Walk today. She attracted a lot of attention from onlookers and participants. Fortunately,
she's not letting all of that attention go to her head. And she raised over $300!

Look at that smile on her face, sure she isn't letting it go to her head! Congradulations on a great walk. Hope Chloe got some good biscuits after the walk!

She did better than biscuits, she had chicken waiting for her after the walk
(and a hyper little bloodhound puppy who wanted to be her BFF because of the chicken .)

Maeve had her "easy button" and wart removed from her face on Friday. Vet isn't sure what the "button" is---I thought it was a sebaceous cyst, as she has several on her torso. This was hard and went the whole way down to her skull. Removed on an outpatient basis with a local---Maeve was a good girl through the entire procedure.

Vet thinks it's benign but she's never seen anything like it. Hopefully, it's just a calcification. We should have the lab results back later this week.

In the meantime, Maeve has a Frankenstein mark on her forehead---staples and stitches! Pictures are here: http://stormyptsisters.blogspot.com/. Looks like she had a lobotomy or came out on the wrong end of a bar fight w/a hooker!!

Paisley, our Boston Terrier, came with us to "Camp Folly" (actually, my mom's place on the New River in NC) this weekend and had a great time. She's still sleeping it off here at home many hours later! I updated my blog with some photos of her big weekend:

    Happy Birthday!

I don't know the exact day she was born, but I remember it was mid-September. So I'm calling the 15th Ruthie's birthday. I was trying to think of something special to give her other than her normal Greenies treats. One of my friends mentioned her cat likes cheese, and I remembered that's one of Ruthie's favorites, too. So I went to the organic grocer and picked up some local-made cheese. I think she enjoyed it.

Emma & Emerson, they are the bosses around here. Emma was adopted from the Humane Society, and Emerson we found as a kitten on Craigslist while living in TX. Emerson is a massive animal, he is the largest/longest cat I have ever seen (refer to bottom picture, cat to cat comparison) By the way, I normally make the bed, but he was so cute!
