I have the same problem, and have done well with Abercrombie men's jeans (at least when they are not in mega-distressed styles that look like they will last 2 days, anyway) in the past. Lately the Gap has had jeans that accommodate my thighs and caboose pretty well.

Has anyone else noticed a strange trend with some of those retail stores (Banana Republic and J Crew in particular) to not even stock (or sell?) size 14 pants? And sometimes not even size 12? I've seen a similar trend in lingerie recently, too. I have read that size 12 or 14 IS the average American woman's build, but evidently retail doesn't get it?
