Well, I got back out there today. Left out the door a little later than I normally do so it was already getting hot, and the wind had picked up a bit, but nothing to major. I only went about 7.5 miles today.
As I headed out, my legs just didn't feel like they had it in them, but figured that is just my mind wanting to play games today since I didn't ride yesterday. Well, sometimes I guess we should listen to our bodies huh? I got about 3.5 miles into my ride and felt I just had to stop and rest. So I pulled over and blew my nose and noticed I was shakey. So I sat for a bit and the longer I waited the more shakey I got. I tried to call DH cause he is home today and he had already left to go to town on the motorcycle cause I got no answer. I left him a MSG, that I was feeling poorly to come get me, but since he didn't answer then I knew he was on the motorcycle and couldn't hear the phone. The last of my MSG, was, "I'm heading to the house so if you get this don't worry, I'm sure I'll make it". I know my husband is a worry wart, so I knew if he got it he would come looking for me.
That was the hardest 3.5 miles I have ever ridden. Trying to get home with shakey arms and legs. At one point I actually wondered if I should stop and call 911, but then thought better of it. I don't like a bunch of fuss and if I am at all able I will do things under my own power.
Needless to say I made it home fine even made it up that last daunting hill of mine and as I went up the steps and was unlocking the door, I heard the motorcycle coming up the road. He came in the house, "are you okay", and I was fine, just really shakey. He made me a sandwich and then I got a yogurt and am feeling better now.
I ate a banana this morning and I had my coffee with creamer so it's not like I didn't have some calories this morning. About the same as I have every morning, I don't know why my body reacted differently this morning than others.
Anyway, I hope everyone else has a great day and wonderful ride today.
