I just had a little ole' ride downtown to look at sofas. They didn't have any that I liked, so I rode home. I like doing errands on my bike. Total mileage: 5.

Sounds like a great ride, Crankin!

I checked out the local bike path. It's only 5 miles roundtrip, so nothing too strenuous for me today. At least it was something, though, right? Next time, I'll do it twice

Well, I didn't ride today. At least not a bicycle. DH and I went on a motorcycle ride about 90 miles round trip, does that count. LOL
We went and had lunch at Nate's cafe and right next door is crazy girls cafe, so next time we make that trip we will have to go next door.

Crankin your ride sounds wonderful. As far as the guy smoking, I would be shocked too. I know that some bikers smoke but not usually while riding.
There would have been a double take from me too. I wish I could ride as fast as some of you girls do. I could go a lot further in a shorter amount of time that's for sure. I guess I can make that my goal, to some day be able to ride fast enough to get a good 30 mile ride in without it taking me all day long to do it.

Hope everyone else had a glorious day!!!

I got home from work late, but now that I have lights, I can still go out even if it's late.

So I did! My usual trail -- part of which closes at dark, so man, was that incentive to push and ride faster -- which is just 10.5 miles, but oooooooh, I had fun!! And in pushing to ride faster, I DID ride faster! (Fast for me is anything in double digits....)

It was 70 degrees when I started out; I actually felt a little chilly when I started, but pretty soon, I was toasty warm.

I wish I'd had time to do the trail twice!

10 mile mtb ride after work - first coolish/low humidity ride for awhile. Felt fantastic and a great endorphin buzz after!

12 miles for me. My usual trail was closed at about the 3.5 mile mark, so I had to ride back, then out (not to the closed sign this time, trying to avoid a traffic light) and back again to get 12 miles. Did some intervals to make it interesting. LOL
