Wow, another person from Utah!. Cool. I'm in the southwest as per the pic. Glad to see you here on the boards. May you have many great miles on your two wheels.

If you are in the Southwest part of the State, let me know, perhaps we can do a ride of some kind.

Hi Red Rock, thanks for the welcome. I am actually living in Salt Lake, but try to get to the south of the state as often as I can ! I will definitely take you up on the ride if I am back anytime soon. There's some great rides down that way.

    Real name: Lesley
Where do you live? Minnesota / California

Explanation of your handle: Yelsel = Lesley backwards. All the bits of my name reverse well.

Explanation of your avatar: Don't have one yet.

    Age (general or specific): 36

    Occupation: Geologist

Favorite bike: 1998 Bianchi Eros - Celeste lugged steel frame. Swoon!

What's in your stable? 1998 Bianchi Eros; 2005 Bianchi Castro Valley (fair weather commuter); 1995 REI mountain bike (foul weather commuter, errand bike); 1973 Schwinn Fastback Sting-ray for restoration, early 1980s Raleigh Spirit 5 Mixte for restoration / local puttering bike.

Fastest speed on a road bike? Not so fast... 28 mph downhill on Wheelock Parkway, Saint Paul.

Another picture of yourself or your ride? Someday when I get a working digital again!

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: This is complex -- we were getting a cat out of an abusive situation; abuser had reneged and decided to keep him... I was moving away 6 hours away from my boyfriend, and just went on about how worried I was how he would do without me, and what a great comfort the cat (one of the "dog-cat" species) would be to him. My boyfriend could hear everything in the next room; this was about a year into the relationship, and he had no idea that I could be so manipulative! (Only used in good causes on unreasonable people.)

Most memorable moment on my bike: Biking the Brooklyn bridge and looking back at Manhattan for the sunset, and the lights in the city turning on.

Most fun ever had on a bike? Riding the Bianchi Eros for the first time, and getting over 22 mph effortlessly; so much lighter and more responsive than my Bianchi commuter, which is built on a Volpe / cyclocross frame. And I've had lots of fun on that bike!

    Real name: Jordan
    Where do you live? Utah

Explanation of your handle: I am a vegetarian, and am quite fond of green beans, and VW's.

Explanation of your avatar: Matched my handle.

    Age (general or specific): 30

Occupation: Currently a work at home mom, previously HR manager

Favorite bike: I don't have one yet.

What's in your stable? 2009 Trek 1.2 WSD, 2007 Trek MTB

Fastest speed on a road bike? I haven't invested in a computer yet, so it remains a mystery.

Another picture of yourself or your ride? I will have to take one!

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: Can't think of anything big. I told my son that if he didn't brush his teeth, the dentist would have to carve him new teeth out of wood, the other day.

Most memorable moment on my bike: I just started road biking, so I hope to have some soon. My first big climb was pretty awesome.

Most fun ever had on a bike? I have fun pulling my kids in the bike trailer and listening to all the funny things they say, like "I can see IKEA from up here mom!"

    Where do you live? Minnesota

Explanation of your handle: many years ago, I had a t-shirt with the saying on it and stick figures dancing across the front. I always liked how whimsical it was.

Explanation of your avatar: don't have one yet.

Age (general or specific): 1966 model

    Occupation: Business Architect

Favorite bike: My favorite ride is my horse, but am anticipating really liking the Juliana!!

What's in your stable? 2007 Trek 4300, in the process of buying a 2008 Santa Cruz Juliana.

Fastest speed on a road bike? I don't have a road bike, but don't like going very fast.

Another picture of yourself or your ride? none yet

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: Me LIE, never.

Most memorable moment on my bike: Coming around a corner, missing the bridge, and nearly riding into a creek. Totally Fred Flintstoned the stop, and my friends still talk about the giant F-bomb that came out of my mouth.

Most fun ever had on a bike? I really enjoy the mtn bike trails with friends and husband.

Fastest speed on a road bike? 23.9 mph on flat terrain yesterday

Another picture of yourself or your ride? I'll have to take one

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: Ooo... good question. It would probably have been something I told my parents back in my teenage years, along the lines of "sure, so-and-so's parents will be home" or "no dad, I have no idea how mud got on the top of your jeep"

Most memorable moment on my bike: I've only had my bike since Saturday, so no crazy stories yet!

Fastest speed on a road bike? 31 mph downhill the loop road at Saguaro National Park
