    Vuelta... anyone watching?

I'm watching right now, and I have never seen such a big crowd. They are still in the Netherlands...

I'm jealous! Versus, the cable channel that shows cycling here, isn't showing it. No cycling on today at all.

    How's Vino looking?

    How Vino looking?

    Haven't seen him yet.

Yesterday Cancellara won (time travel), Tom Boonen was second. Vinocourov 7th

Today it'll be a mass sprint...

    You can watch live now...

Thanks! I'm sure I could find it English, too. I really prefer watching on tv (the sound on my computer is lousy, and I get a lot of picture freeze). I don't understand why they don't show it. Except for le tour, they don't show much cycling in the US.

    You're really lucky!

I read the crowds were heckling Vino yesterday during the time trial. I wonder if that will impact his performance at all. I bet it doesn't.

It's being shown in the US on Universal Sports.

Universal Sports is also showing live webcasts:

Your cable provider might carry universal sports -- give this link a try:

My cable provider, AT&T, doesn't carry it, but we have an old TV hooked up to a digital converter box & can get it over the air on channel 11.3

Right But is the Vuelta on Versus? VS is channel 640 & 1640 on u-verse (ATT's fiber optic cable-like product thingie) 200 or over.

If you have U-verse 100, or U Family it's not on there. Betcha ATT'd love to have you upgrade.

I have Dishnetwork, which does not have Universal sports. U. Sports urges me to call and e-mail and demand that they add it

That was my thought as well. It was truly a stadium-size crowd. Amazing. And the road seemed great for cycling--as least the parts I watched (the last hour of the 2 hour recap).

I'm avoiding coverage for today (Sunday). I'm going to hop on the treadmill at home to watch the 3pm showing on NBC Universal Sports. The coverage is rather low-key compared to Versus's TdF coverage but I enjoy the contrast.

There were 200.000 spectators yesterday. That's almost as much as the spring classics.

No TV, No Facebook, No Twitter and not even a land telephone at my place. We also lack central heating and AC. And today was the kind of day I wish we had AC. Drink lots of water and be in stupor most of the day.

We also do not have gas service at my house. But we do have water/sewer/electrical service to my house. We are actually pretty modern thuogh... we do live in a incorporated city.

years ago my partner had to spring her dogs from the local jail (for people not the pound). Honest!! She got a call from the officer on duty that day, "ma'am please drop by the police station and pick up your two dogs. We caught them roaming the street."...

Would love to see Vuelta but noooo TV. And I refuse to get one of those new digital TV. HOW MUCH?? Just as well. I was busy with fall planting and drying whole bunch of tomatoes and peppers.

It's very flat isn't it. We can't go anywhere around here without some sort of climb.

We're watching the Vuelta live on Eurosport everyday in our house. We've been watching a lot of cycling. All the major tours and several smaller events.
We really like the Eurosport coverage and the commentary team is very good.

The netherlands you mean? Yes it is, except for the south of the Netherlands (next to the Belgian, German border), there are some nasty short climbs there.
