Woohoo!!! That's awesome. Congrats to both of you!!

Aside, I did an 8 mile hike (some jogging on the downhill/flats) this weekend, but no running. Last week I did some intervals during the week. This week looks to have cooler mornings, which I'm excited about for running.

I did my first 10K trail run on Saturday in Spruce Pine, NC. It was hot but I hear it was hotter up North. Very muddy, 4 stream crossings, lots of climbing, serious slick downhills, and lots and lots of friendly North Carolinians (when I passed her, one woman yelled, "you go, girl!" - that would never happen in RI.)

I finished 291 of 350 so not bad for my first time.

This week I will likely run 3 or four days, 3 miles apiece. I am riding too, so trying not to overdo it.
I can do five more miles.

Ran this morning for a half hour on the trails out back. I have no idea how far I went because we haven't measured them... but I am thinking I probably went 3 miles.

    Urlea--WOW! Awesome!

So should we start a new week or just wait til next week since this one is 1/2 way over!

I did get out of bed for a little 3 miler. Still HOT here...the "cool" front stalled mid Florida. So still close to 80 degrees at 6 AM. I think just a little less humid.

Just trying to get back into the swing of the run.

First run post-50k this evening. I can't even begin to express how happy I am that my body remembers how to run this soon afterward!!

Yes, my legs ache. But it's the normal post long distance race pains & momentary toddler walking for me. I'm getting more comfortable. The run tonight actually helped a lot to stretch the muscles out a little bit.

Was able to make it 2.5miles of 9:40-10:40 run w/ sections of walk mixed in. Not sure what my overall pace was. It felt fast all things considered! I ran on grass & in my VFFs. Both felt great and were good stabilizers for the tired quads.

Hoping to have a race report ready for you all sometime tomorrow!

    Urlea that is awesome.

I ran 3.2 this morning, on road, in the new Brooks. A little sloggy but not so bad.

Stiff from 240 miles of freeway - DH has a cold and didn't feel up to twisties. Hot, blood sugar's low, wearing an old pair of shoes since space is so tight on the moto. 2 laps around the industrial park, 4.25 mi.
