For my "take everywhere" camera I wanted one small enough for a jersey pocket, that I wouldn't have to pull out of a ziploc bag every time I wanted to use it. Ziplock bags don't work. The nikon was in a ziplock bag when it got fried.

I have a pentax optio w60 waterproof camera that I bought last year, because I was doing too much salt water kayaking to risk my good camera.
