Thanks. Unfortunately, I think even the cheapest Trek FX is still more than I would want to leave outside (~$480), but maybe I'm just going to have to chance it.

I heard that a bike was stolen on campus this morning, right near where I've been locking my bike up. The bike was only locked with a cable lock, not the crazy u-lock + cables that I use, but still... I don't like my bike being the nicest one on the rack! I think any bike frame should be safe enough with a u-lock, but I don't know if anyone would still mess with my components if they can't steal the whole bike.

Ugh, maybe I just need to keep looking on Craigslist. I don't really know what I'm looking for though... what size, or anything.

I was also checking out the Kona Smoke today... I just can't resist a nice bike! If it lasts the year it will still be cheaper than a parking pass...
