I like to use my food processor to puree chick peas (or other beans) into a hummus-like dip. I call it sort of hummus because I don't typically add any tahini paste since I'm not a huge fan of the flavor it imparts. I just throw some beans, a little lemon/lime juice, a little olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder and a bit of water into the processor and mix it up. Most times I will also add something like roasted red peppers or a bunch of fresh cilantro (my favorite) to flavor the dip. I normally use this as a dip for fresh, raw veggies. It quick, easy, and very healthy.
