    Question Hi-energy, lo-cal Cuisinart recipes?

Three friends gave me a Cuisinart "Prep 7, 7-Cup Food Processor". I'm grateful for their generosity!

I'm posting here to ask for high-energy, low-calorie foods I can make with my new Cuisinart.

The top of the Cuisinart box says "Savor the good life." Quite a nice message, I think.

Thank you so much for your recipe or suggestion.

I am a little confused about what you are asking...calories=energy. The only thing I can think would be things containing caffeine (ie coffee or chocolate)

Do you possibly mean foods high in fiber that stick with you throughout your entire workout? These aren't necessarily high-energy just sustainable energy.
Hiking, Biking, Paddling, Swimming, Surfing, & Running to my heart's content (or at least trying).

    Sort of hummus

I like to use my food processor to puree chick peas (or other beans) into a hummus-like dip. I call it sort of hummus because I don't typically add any tahini paste since I'm not a huge fan of the flavor it imparts. I just throw some beans, a little lemon/lime juice, a little olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder and a bit of water into the processor and mix it up. Most times I will also add something like roasted red peppers or a bunch of fresh cilantro (my favorite) to flavor the dip. I normally use this as a dip for fresh, raw veggies. It quick, easy, and very healthy.
