Damn Ive never thought of hula hooping as a competitive sport but thats pretty cool Im not so great at it, but my mom had one of those giant ones that you're supposed to use to keep in shape (not the lame plastic ones that kids use) and IT WAS SO TOUGH. I guess Im just not strong enough for that kinda thing.

all of a sudden I'm hearing hula hoop this, hula hoop that... I'm wondering: will hula hooping get rid of the little jelly belly I'm developing? I've always had it but it's getting a bit more noticeable now. Even when I was younger I never could get rid of it, but I'm determined that something out there has got to help!

I saw one of those in my brother's gym (his condo has a gym in it), and thought I'd give it a try. Well, it had these knobs all around the inside that were supposed to "massage" you, but all they did was bruise my entire midsection!

You get used to the knobbies after the first couple of times. Use the lightest one to get there quicker.

Hula hooping won't get rid of a fat bulge. Nothing will, except liposuction and reduction of overall body fat. Unfortunately, that's my problem, too. That fat bulge on my midsection is always going to be there, relatively out of place to the rest of my body, no matter how big my body is!

Hula-hooping WILL, however, make your midsection stronger and draw in those muscles under that tummy bulge, and make it appear less noticeable.

Any time I've gotten bruised by a light touch, it's been because of adhesions. (Assuming you have a normal platelet count, etc., and don't normally bruise easily.)

Probably the knobbies are a good thing for you, breaking up trigger points in your abs!

We're going to a concert over Labor Day weekend and I might just have to spring for a hoop....

yeah, I'm active and weigh only 115lbs but still manage to have a muffin top! I think I'll pick up a hula hoop anyways, if nothing else than to have a party trick!

    hula-hooping crosstraining???

I really like the idea of Hoopliaties. especially cause I'm really bad about core training. Maybe this is the answer....
