Have you ever checked out Digital Grin? It's the user forum for Smugmug and there are some exceptionally talented photographers on there. They, too, recently opened a subforum for nude shots. I haven't checked it myself, but I would expect, based on the content and personalities on the rest of the site that there wouldn't be barely-disguised porn there.

I'll check it out. On the forum above, though, there is a thread saying Smugmug is down - just an FYI.

I think you hit the nail on the head - my objection isn't really what the photos are, it's that the rest of the site indicates they shouldn't be barely-disguised porn. and, the men on the forum don't even recognize that they aren't to the level of the rest of the photos.
I actually recommend the rest of the forum, pick your preferred photo type (landscape, cityscape, birds...) and peruse, some absolutely wonderful shots have been posted.
The glamour and nudes section does have some photos guys have posted of wives/girlfriends and those are often sweet. So, that reinstates my faith in the men somewhat.
