What's in your stable? Specialized Myka Elite, Specialized Dolce Comp Triple

Fastest speed on a road bike? where? when? 45, on a very long and secluded rural road in Upstate NY. (Downhill!)

Another picture of yourself or your ride? Hmm I have a lot, but none with me at work.

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: I told my ninth-grade boyfriend that I loved him, which I didn't...I was afraid of hurting his feelings :/

Most memorable moment on my bike: Riding through a field and watching a mother deer and her baby (he had to be only a few weeks old) run into the distance. This moment was very special and relevant to me, as I'd just found out the day before that my sister was pregnant.

Most fun ever had on a bike? The first 50-mile ride I ever took with my boyfriend. It turned out to be a 90-degree day (somehow we'd missed the forecast) and we were hot sweaty messes by the time we got home, but we had so much fun together and really discovered that we are meant to be.

Where do you live? Eastern Washington

Explanation of your handle: uhhh... I wasn't feeling very creative! My name is Susie, and I like to run.

Explanation of your avatar: still need to get one of those

    Age (general or specific): 25

    Occupation: Energy Procurement Consultant

Favorite bike: I'm shopping for it right now!!

What's in your stable? A hand-me-down Trek 1100 aluminum frame down downtube shifters. I got complimented on my "retro bike" the other day.

Fastest speed on a road bike? where? when? About 46mph, cruising down a hill on a ride south of Spokane this summer.

Another picture of yourself or your ride? If I can figure out how to post it, you should see it!

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: Ooh, that's a good one. I can't think of a good response. It was probably something I told in elementary school on the playground.

Most memorable moment on my bike: Aah, so many good ones! Probably the first time I made it to the top of a REALLY BIG HILL, so proud of myself for riding up the whole thing without stopping- I told myself that if I could do that, I could do anything. Haven't doubted myself on a hill since, anyway.

Most fun ever had on a bike? A fall ride called Tour de Latte where I cruised around to 6 different bakeries in 30 miles with a fun group of riders. We were "judged" by the kids on the ride based on how much coffee and baked goods we consumed at each stop. It was great to be on a bike to see the fall colors and enjoy each others' company- and I never pass up an excuse to gorge myself on coffee and baked goods!!

Where do you live? Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (Canada)

Explanation of your handle: Combination of my first name and the word 'bikes'

Explanation of your avatar: Picture of me and my best friend, Niki

    Age (general or specific): 28

Favorite bike: Not sure, I love MY bikes though.

What's in your stable?: 2005 Cannondale F400 (Ruby)
2008 Cannondale Rush 2 Feminine (Carlie)

Fastest speed on a road bike?: I don't have a road bike. Fastest speed on my mountain bike was probably somewhere in the mid-twenties.

Another picture of yourself or your ride? I *hope* I attached a pic of a group of muddy women with bikes. It's from a downhill skills class I took last summer in Rossland, BC. I'm directly in the middle.

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: I try not to tell lies, especially big ones!

Most memorable moment on my bike: The trip I took for my 25th birthday. We rode 2 great trails in northern Michigan, part of the North Country Trail and Big M.

Most fun ever had on a bike?: I always have fun on my bike, but I really like the various women's rides I've participated in. Women tend to be, in my experience, very positive and supportive of one another, which I love.

I'm actually an import from the states I moved to SK a couple of years ago for graduate school. Aside from the brutal winters, Saskatoon is a pretty nice place to live.

I spent last summer in BC doing some field research, and I rode some there. However, my research now has me locked in the laboratory with few chances to escape. I *wish* I could head elsewhere to bike (or climb, or backpack). Canada has so many great places I would love to visit.

Wow, another person from Utah!. Cool. I'm in the southwest as per the pic. Glad to see you here on the boards. May you have many great miles on your two wheels.

If you are in the Southwest part of the State, let me know, perhaps we can do a ride of some kind.

Hi Red Rock, thanks for the welcome. I am actually living in Salt Lake, but try to get to the south of the state as often as I can ! I will definitely take you up on the ride if I am back anytime soon. There's some great rides down that way.

    Real name: Lesley
Where do you live? Minnesota / California

Explanation of your handle: Yelsel = Lesley backwards. All the bits of my name reverse well.

Explanation of your avatar: Don't have one yet.

    Age (general or specific): 36

    Occupation: Geologist

Favorite bike: 1998 Bianchi Eros - Celeste lugged steel frame. Swoon!

What's in your stable? 1998 Bianchi Eros; 2005 Bianchi Castro Valley (fair weather commuter); 1995 REI mountain bike (foul weather commuter, errand bike); 1973 Schwinn Fastback Sting-ray for restoration, early 1980s Raleigh Spirit 5 Mixte for restoration / local puttering bike.

Fastest speed on a road bike? Not so fast... 28 mph downhill on Wheelock Parkway, Saint Paul.

Another picture of yourself or your ride? Someday when I get a working digital again!

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: This is complex -- we were getting a cat out of an abusive situation; abuser had reneged and decided to keep him... I was moving away 6 hours away from my boyfriend, and just went on about how worried I was how he would do without me, and what a great comfort the cat (one of the "dog-cat" species) would be to him. My boyfriend could hear everything in the next room; this was about a year into the relationship, and he had no idea that I could be so manipulative! (Only used in good causes on unreasonable people.)

Most memorable moment on my bike: Biking the Brooklyn bridge and looking back at Manhattan for the sunset, and the lights in the city turning on.

Most fun ever had on a bike? Riding the Bianchi Eros for the first time, and getting over 22 mph effortlessly; so much lighter and more responsive than my Bianchi commuter, which is built on a Volpe / cyclocross frame. And I've had lots of fun on that bike!

Fastest speed on a road bike? I haven't invested in a computer yet, so it remains a mystery.

Another picture of yourself or your ride? I will have to take one!

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: Can't think of anything big. I told my son that if he didn't brush his teeth, the dentist would have to carve him new teeth out of wood, the other day.

Most memorable moment on my bike: I just started road biking, so I hope to have some soon. My first big climb was pretty awesome.

Most fun ever had on a bike? I have fun pulling my kids in the bike trailer and listening to all the funny things they say, like "I can see IKEA from up here mom!"
