+1 to this. I recently got a pair of carbon sole road shoes and they have helped immensely with my hot foot issues. I have yet to try them out in extreme heat (extreme for me is over 90 ) but I don't like riding in that type of weather anyway so I probably won't know how they will fare!

My shoes were quite pricey but I figure with all the miles many of us put on our bikes, I could afford to go for the luxury on my feet. This is how I have attempted to justify the purchase to family members who are not into cycling themselves (i'm working on it ) and are astonished at the cost. As far as I was concerned, I couldn't put a price on happy feet (or a happy behind, for that matter. Right, ladies? ).
