My friend had serious complications (infection requiring repeat surgery for debridement, plus lots of debilitating antibiotics), plus there was something I don't quite understand about his shoulder that meant they had to install the implant differently from how it normally goes in. So it was the better part of a year for him, but please don't take that as a prediction for yourself!

Hey Twin! Good to hear you're all fixed up... and with the titanium replacement you might want to change your handle to "terminator"
Can you put your bike on a wind trainer and just peddle sitting up? If yes, at least you'd get a little cycling fix. I'm doing that now due to a messed up wrist (seeing hand doc today though).
Good luck!

Twin, so sorry to hear about your shoulder. There is an ebb and flow to healing and some days you will feel stronger and then other days you'll need more rest. Take it easy, listen to your body, and when the time is right it will let you know when it's time to get back on the bike. ((((Twin))))
I hope your healing goes well!
Could you use a recumbent style bike at a gym just to keep your legs going?
I am checking out the recumbent bike at the gym today. Thanks for the nice thoughts
