You are on vacation. However, in spite of that, the calories DO count. But a week of small indulgences will not totally dis-rail you. Enjoy your vacation! While in Maine I ate a lot of Maine specific food that is not exactly healthy - cream horns come to mind.I always want to come back weighing the same as when I left; and that made me go run some mornings while on vacation.

Mmmm, creme horns....
168.9 for me today.
It's working, it's working! In fact, I saw that number, blinked twice, and then smiled. Then after finishing the chores, I *almost* decided to stop at a coffee shop for breakfast on my way into work. I managed to eventually talk myself off the ledge. I did pull a fresh loaf of my own zucchini bread out of the freezer and a slice of that will be my 'splurge'. Sooooo much better (tasting and for me) than coffee shop pastries/baked goods!

I only eat them in Maine, same thing with Whoopie Pies. There's something unique about the filling of Maine creme horns.
And Italians... I think it's the bread. At least they aren't too bad, other than all the bread. Yeah, trips to Maine are a nutritional nightmare.

I don't even know what a creme horn is. And that's probably a good thing.
GLC - way to go! Little changes yield big results.

staying put this week (214.6), but not surprising considering the lack of cycling/exercise this week. aiming high for next week, but August will be a busy month with company every week-end (and that always means I'll be baking lots of cakes). Luckily all the company are expecting lots of hiking so the exercise bit will be easy.

ok..I am up 2 lbs this week... 245.2
It is not from the lack of exercise. I looked back and 4 days I had very few "net" calories so I think my body went into starvation mode.
I will work hard on that this week.
140 this morning - I guess all that walking in DC made up for the eating.![]()
